Charity and WIP

This sampler is called Charity and is another CrossN"Patch Sampler that I did a few years ago. Actually I have done this one twice. One of my SIL's has it. I have done about 5 of these samplers but this is the only one that I have. I love this because of all the different stitches in it. It is also the one that I learnt to do hardanger on.
I love the saying that this one has. "Random Acts of Kindness" and the Queen stitches among the word charity.
This is the progress on Karen's "The Token". It is now moving along and hopefully will be finished in the next few days. Its a pity that I have to do housework as I would definitely be finished. I think I only have one or two medium size motifs to finish along with a couple of small ones.

Your framed pieces are so gorgeous and delicate. The Token is so lovely, mine is currently in limbo :( May I know what floss/colour are you using for The Token?

Hi Sandra,

As always a visit to your blog has left me breathless. What an amazing stitcher you are!

The framed piece, Charity, is gorgeous!! All those specialty stitches are mind boggling for me. I think you are a fearless stitcher. Someone who tackles new things and conquers them. I don't know how you can bear to let these pieces go.

The Token is looking gorgeous too, and I LOVE the colour that you're stitching it with. What colour, and thread are you using?? This is going to catch a lot of attention in Karen's shop. Hope that she has many copies of this chart, 'cause everyone is going to want one after seeing it stitched up.

Ah, housework. Don't believe in it myself. All that sweat and labour, and wasted time, for what?? It all just needs doing again a short time later. "Cross stitch forever, housework whenever".

How's the bird watching going?

Cheers!!

Sandra - you have done some incredible stitching. I am so sorry I hadn't read before about your loss. I hope that you can find some comfort in that your mum is not in pain any longer and that she will be near you still when you need her.

Much love and blessings
Tannia

Hi Sandra,

I have not yet received my first issue of Victoria. A week ago I read another blogger giving a warning that there had been a problem with her subscription request for the magazine. The company had a computer glitch and some early subscription requests were lost.

So I checked the status on line for my subscription to make sure it had taken (although my Visa card had been debited for the subscription amount). I was okay for subscribing, but the first issue to be mailed to me was going to be the February 08 issue.

I contacted customer service via email to ask why I wasn't getting the first issue. They emailed back and said that they'd arrange for the premier issue to come to me as my first issue. Must go back and check to make sure that this has indeed been changed.

Anyways, I'm waiting for the premier issue, with not a great deal of patience. It's everywhere in the stores here and I've had a hard time restraining myself from picking it up.

As soon as I get it I'll let you know and we can review it and trade opinions. Hope it lives up to the standards set by the original magazine.

Cheers. Judy
